Online Education Enables Children of All Ages to Learn from Anywhere in the World"The world she is a changin'!" so said King George III way back at the founding of this country. Hardly did he realize how quickly the world would change.

Thanks to technology, she is a-changin' fast!

For example, distance education was barely established at the end of the nineteenth century when educators thought delivering course work via postal service was state-of-the-art. Now, some one hundred sixty years later, learners can engage their studies from anywhere in the world with just the click of a button. Distance Education has truly become global! Parents can choose to enroll their children in traditional schools or engage them in more modern learning techniques by enrolling them into virtual classrooms that allow them to socialize and make friends with classmates from other areas of the world. Talk about learning opportunities!

  • SIRES Academy's DEP SIRES Academy has completed negotiations with Alpha Omega Publications, a major U.S. publisher whose textbooks and online curricula have been approved for use in accredited K-12 programs throughout the U.S.

Beginning Fall 2012, SIRES Academy's students in grades 3-12 will use the Ignitia online curricula which offers them a full range of courseware and electives. This relationship allows SIRES Academy students in grades 9-12** to participate in our Dual-Enrollment Program (DEP) which leads to an accredited* high school diploma***.
*Dual enrollment is an optional program available to parents of SIRES Academy students. It is administered through Alpha Omega Academy and incurs an extra fee. Accreditation is through AdvancED. AdvancED is the parent organization for the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).

**SIRES Academy's Dual Enrollment Program (DEP) is also available to students in lower grades for the same extra fee.

*** Disclaimer: even though AdvancED's accreditation is considered an accreditation through a regionally accredited ins**ution, there is no guarantee that colleges and universities will accept your child's credits for admission into their programs of higher learning. Please check with the college or university of your choice to make sure.
